Aero kids enjoy pefect may weather
After 5 weeks of work on both the simulator and in the classroom, our intrepid young aviators were rewarded with perfect flying conditions on Saturday as they visited the airfield for their first real flight. Each student had their hands on the controls from take off to landing with only a small amount of assistance needed by their instructor. Patrick Tame reported being very happy with the skills on display, “The time they have put in on the simulator has really paid dividends, I’d have been impressed with anyone flying that well on their first flight and it’s even more impressive given the age of the students”.
The students will be back in the classroom after half term preparing for their next flight at the end of June, “it’s a short term and the objective is to get them to fly a good circuit around the airfield before the summer holidays, based on what I’ve seen today, I’ve no doubt they will be up to it”.
