Alex lands best pilot

Congratulations to Alex who rose above some very stiff competition to be rated as best pilot at the Brockhurst & Marlston House School Flying Club for the 2023/24 academic year.

He flew his final 2 circuits with instructor Patrick Tame who reported, “The weather was challenging with blustery cross winds and choppy thermals but Alex handled it well, he was able to take off unassisted and flew a clean circuit with minimal verbal prompts and despite choppy air on the famous dog leg approach into runway 26 at Popham, landed the aircraft with almost no instructor input”.

Alex is leaving Brockhurst School for St Gabriel’s in Newbury, we wish him well and hope to see him at the airfield again.
