awarding wings

This week we have been busy awarding wings to our summer term students. Students started to cover the Aero Kids Wings syllabus when they returned to school after the Easter Holidays and have worked steadily through the course. Although the core focus has been on acquiring flying skills, students have all received a basic grounding in Navigation, Meteorology, Aerodynamics andEngineering. They have also delved into the history of aviation and looked at aviation careers and routes to becoming a commercial pilot.

We are pleased to see many of those students who have been awarded wings are returning next term to build on their platform to begin their British Young Pilots level 1 award. We wish them all a fabulous summer holiday and look forward to more flying in September!
